This obviously increases the demand of such personnel selflessly serving the society. We are completely dependent on good trained medical staff of which nurses constitute the largest part. Thus without well-trained, well-behaved & self managed nursing staff we can not imagine delivery of high quality health services.
   
There is a rising demand of trained nursing staff not only from our country but also from all developing and developed nations of the world. Countries like USA, Canada, U.K., Sweden, Germany and France are on the top of the list for demanding the trained nursing staff. We in India are sitting on a pool of huge potential, talented & educated people ready to make a mark in this profession. This profession offers great & good opportunity for growth.

A nurse is not only a helping hand for a doctor, but has a greater role in curing the patient & administering the medical advice. This profession provides not only better chance to serve the humanity but also satisfaction to self. Any aspirant willing to undertake this profession can do so after completing her nursing course from a competent nursing institute delivering the training on desired & acceptable parameters. Realizing the need for such quality education in Nursing, especially in Mukerian, Swami Premanand Charitable Trust has set its foot & established ‘‘Swami Premanand Para Medical & GNM School of Nursing’’ at Mukerian which is now upgraged to "SPN College of Nursing". It is an effort to serve the citizens of Mukerian region and to be the torch bearers in serving the society across the globe.

Keeping in sync with the above placed requirement, the management offers 4 years degree in B.Sc Nursing, 2 years Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course, 3 1/2  yrs. diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery and 2 years Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife Course. The Institute is approved by "Punjab Government", recognised by "Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi" & ‘‘Punjab Nurses Registration Council, Chandigarh ’’ and affiliated to "Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot"

The syllabus and the minimum requirement as laid down by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and amendments from time to time are applicable to the course conducted by this institute.
